The word igbi means snail in Yoruba, and this song is dedicated to Oxalufã whose very slow pace expresses old age and the wisdom it brings. The adijá (metal bell) is the sacred instrument played by the most respected people present at the ceremony. Its continuous, sharp sound has many symbolic meanings and purposes. The introduction is an homage to the harmony of Creation, followed by contemplation in melodic praises. The next movement tells of the walk through the corners of the earth, with its varied pulsations, and ends with the return to the praises of the Orixá, in decreasing rhythmic motifs.

Igbi” quer dizer caracol em Yorubá, e o toque é dedicado ao orixá Oxalá, simbolizando a sabedoria que vem com a idade. O “Adijá” (sineta de metal), é o instrumento sagrado tocado pelas pessoas mais respeitadas da casa, qua anuncia a chegada do orixá com seu som constante e agudo.O andamento da música é “Larguíssimo” como são os passos do orixá mais antigo.
A introdução representa a homenagem à harmonia da Creação, seguida de sua contemplaçãoem louvores melódicos; o movimento seguinte conta o passeio pelos diferentes recantos da terra, com suas diferentes pulsações, retornando aos louvores do orixá, até sua partida
sob motivos rítmicos decrescentes.
